The Tent Trench
The Trench Tent is inspired by a time in my life where I had to quickly adapt to my surroundings with a strong sense of urgency. This garments could potentially give some relief to the homeless as emergency temporary shelter. It could also be popular amongst backpackers, hikers, festival goers and campers.
The trench coat unzips at the waist, allowing the bottom half to unfold into a one-person tent. The inflatable poles remove the hassle of carrying rods and making it very simple to erect. When worn as a trench coat, it offers protection against the elements with its durable, waterproof fabric. As a tent, it provides a compact and practical solution for outdoor emergencies.
Durable, sustainable weather-resistant fabric that ensures both the coat and the tent can withstand harsh conditions. Lightweight yet strong materials are used to make the transformation easy and the tent sturdy.
I wanted the design to be sleek and modern, ensuring it remains a stylish piece of outerwear.
Thoughtful details, like hidden zippers and minimalist seams, maintain the coat’s elegant look while allowing for easy conversion into a tent.
Bomber Bag
Inspired by the unpredictable British weather and the challenges of commuting in London. It addresses the common issue of fluctuating temperatures and the inconvenience of carrying a jacket when it’s not needed.
The bomber jacket seamlessly transforms into a backpack. This design ensures that when the weather warms up or you enter a heated environment, you can easily convert the jacket into a convenient backpack.
The backpack is not just for storing the jacket itself but also has ample space for personal items, making it a practical accessory for daily use.
With sustainable materials in mind, recycled heat tech is used for the jacket lining lightweight insulation, and a water-resistant fabric called Tyvek is used for the backpack main body to handle sudden rain showers.
Maintains the classic, stylish look of a bomber jacket with clean lines and a contemporary fit, ensuring it remains fashionable both as a jacket and a backpack.
